Democratic Women of Mercer County PA
The Democrat Women of Mercer County, PA (DWMC) are the active arm of the county party. By joining, you receive a weekly email every Sunday with updates and actions. Men and women are members of this group. Men are some of our most active and valued members. We hold monthly meetings which prioritize actions to create positive change.
Our Mission is to promote the increased political activity and influence of Democrats in local, state, and national politics and government. We inform and educate the public and our membership on pertinent civic and political issues, including proposed and pending legislation affecting the well-being of our community.
Our Community Service
DWMC members work hard to support Democratic candidates for local, state, and federal offices. But, we also support local charitable organizations. We collect donations for AWARE Inc. Mercer County Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency. We collect children’s books to give away at the annual Juneteenth celebration (which we hope will resume soon). We support the efforts of other local, like-minded organizations such as the Community Food Warehouse, NAACP, and CEASRA.
The Democratic Women of Mercer County adopted a portion of Route 62 between Hermitage and Mercer a few years ago. We do a fall and spring clean up. We’re Democrats, so we care about our community and the environment!
